Create a 3D map pin
Description
Learn how to create a 3D map pin.
Instructions
- Click on Insert.
- Click on Shapes.
- Insert the shape called Merge under the Flowchart category.
- Also insert the shape called Desicion placed under the same category.
- Select both shapes.
- Go to Shape Outline.
- Choose No Outline.
- Make sure the rhomb is as wide as the triangle and place it on top of the triangle like so.
- Click on Shape Fill.
- Make the rhomb lighter than the triangle.
- Select the triangle.
- Duplicate it (ctrl + D).
- Select both triangles.
- Click on Align.
- Choose Align Left.
- Click on Shape Fill.
- Make the new triangle, that is now placed on top of the first triangle, darker.
- Click on Insert.
- Click on Shapes.
- Insert the shape called Rectangle placed under the Flowchart category.
- Insert the rectangle so that it covers half of the triangle and the rhomb.
- Click on Shape Outline.
- Choose No Outline.
- Select the triangle first and then the rectangle. The order the shapes are selected in is crucial to the end result.
- Click on Merge Shapes.
- Choose Subtract.
- Click on Shape Fill.
- Pick a color that is lighter than the other half of the triangle but darker than de rhomb.
- Select the rhomb.
- Click on Bring Forward.
- Click on Bring to front.
- And there you have your 3D map pin!
