Instructions
You can crop images directly in PowerPoint. This is useful when you want the image to fit your chosen picture layout or when you want to remove parts of the image that you don't want to be visible. You can either crop the image to an exact size or crop it by dragging its edges.
- To crop an image, you first need to insert an image into your presentation.
- Select the image.
- Then the tab Picture format appears, and you can access the cropping tool. Choose Crop.
- Crop the image to your desired size by entering the measurements to the right of Crop, or by dragging the edges of the image.
- Once you are satisfied with the size, you can click on Crop or press the Esc key on your keyboard. Doing this confirms the cropping.
- To access the cropping menu again, select the image once more.
- Click on the downward arrow under Crop to access other cropping tools.
- The Crop to shape menu offers you the ability to crop your image into different shapes, such as a circle. However, it is important to adhere to your brand guidelines, so only use these cropping tools if they align with your brand.
