Try adding a background image to your presentation, which will be placed behind text and other content.

Instructions

You can insert a background image in your presentation. With just a few clicks, you can format the image background with a photo. You can add a picture in the background on a single slide layout, or on all slide layouts at once. It is advisable to insert a light image if the slide layout contains dark text, and vice versa. This enhances readability.

  1. To insert a background image, right-click on any place on the workspace.
  2. In the menu that appears when you right-click, select the option Format Background. It is the second-last option.
  3. On the right side of the screen, you will see options to format the background. Choose the option Picture or texture fill under the Fill heading.
  4. Click on the Insert button under the Picture source heading.
  5. A window titled Insert picture will appear in the middle of the screen. Select the image you want to apply as the background.
  6. Click on the Insert button at the bottom right of the window.
