Make your links in Word accessible by inserting them correctly and using descriptive link texts that clearly explain where the link leads to.

Instructions

Make links in Word clickable, so that all users can easily navigate in your document and access the relevant information that you link to. Remember to always use descriptive link texts instead of generic phrases like "Click here" or "Go to", to clearly explain where the link leads.

Create a link

  1. When you insert a link directly into your document: Add a space or press Enter directly after.
  2. The link will be created automatically.

Create a hyperlink

  1. Highlight the text you want to link.
  2. Right-click on the text and select the option Link.
  3. Enter a URL in the Address field.
  4. Now you have a descriptive hyperlink in your document.
