Make your own map pin

Description

Learn how to make your own map pin to bring your presentation to life.

Instructions

  1. Click on Insert.
  2. Click on Shapes.
  3. Choose the circle.
  4. Write the text that will be placed next to the map pin.
  5. Right-click on the circle.
  6. Go to Format Shape.
  7. Go to Size & Properties in the menu that appears on the right-hand side.
  8. Bring out the drop-down menu under the Text Box category.
  9. Make sure the checkbox next to Do not Autofit is checked in.
  10. Deselect the checkbox next to Wrap text in shape.
  11. Select the text that will be next to your map pin.
  12. Go to Font Color.
  13. Make sure to use a noticeable color that is easy to see.
  14. Decrease the font size by clicking the Decrease Fontsize button in the ribbon.
  15. Left-align the text by clicking on Align Left.
  16. Make the circle smaller.
  17. Increase the left margin by using the arrows next to Left margin in the menu to put the text outside the circle
  18. Now you have a map pin that you can easily duplicate and reuse.
