Manage image layouts in PowerPoint
Description
Insert content, such as text and images, into the placeholders in different layouts. You can easily switch in between layouts, as long as you use the correct placeholders.
Instructions
In PowerPoint, there is a set of image layouts. The image layouts are predefined arrangements of content. The layouts consist of slide placeholders where you can insert your content without manual formatting or arrangement. A layout slide may, for example, contain placeholders for a title, text, and image. You choose an image layout and then insert your content into the respective placeholders. You can also switch between layout slides.
- To insert a new image layout, click on New slide.
- From there, you can see all the available image layouts. In this example, you can choose Two content.
- Fill the image layout with content.
- Click on Slide layout from the Home tab to change the image layout.
- Choose a new image layout, in this example, a comparison layout with subtitles.
- The content will be changed to similar available placeholders in the new image layout.
- Reset the layout by removing the bulleted list from the text box.
- All changes made to the placeholders can be easily reset to the predefined settings using the Reset button.
- If you want to reorganize your presentation, you can add sections via Add sections.
- Select Add section.
- Name the section.
- You can view the section in the slideshow window. You can collapse or expand the slideshow window using the triangle to the left of the section name.
