Description

Ensure your presentation's symmetry and continuity with grids and guidelines. They help you accurately align text and images. It creates a polished result.

Instructions

Guides are lines that can provide guidance for placing text, images, and other elements evenly and precisely on the pages in your presentation. The lines are visible only on your workspace and are invisible in your presentation. Using guides in PowerPoint helps you align the content on the slides by providing visual references. They ensure the symmetry and continuity of the presentation, making it look more professional.

  1. To apply Guides, right-click anywhere on the workspace.
  2. In the menu that appears after right-clicking, select the option Grid and guides.
  3. Then choose the option Guides in the same menu.
  4. You can also access this option by clicking on the View tab in the menu.
  5. The guides will be displayed on all pages in the presentation.
  6. To remove the guides, click on the View tab in the menu, click again on the View tab, and then uncheck the Guides box.
