Last updated 2023-11-01

Description

Try using Notes in your PowerPoint. That way you can easily and discreetly view your notes while you are presenting, without the audience seeing them.

Instructions

You can add speaker notes to your presentation. This can be useful when presenting the slide show to an audience, as you can view the notes while the audience cannot see them. You can add notes either while presenting, directly from the speaker view, or while editing the presentation.

  1. To display the notes pane, click on Notes at the bottom of the window.
  2. Once the notes pane is visible, you can resize it by dragging the edge of the pane upwards.
  3. Write your notes in the notes pane where it says Click to add notes.
  4. If you hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard while scrolling out with the mouse, you can zoom out from the notes.
  5. If you hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard while scrolling in with the mouse, you can zoom in on the notes.
  6. You can also format the text in the notes. You can use bold, italic, and underline on all text or on selected text. When presenting in presentation mode, it can be easier to keep track of key points if you format the text, such as using headers or highlighting words.
